Help Us Help The Estuary
Although the Thames Estuary Partnership (TEP) receives its core funding from the Environment Agency, the Port of London Authority, Thames Water and Natural England, this funding provides for two core staff only. We raise additional funding by charging for project work and through grants.
As we grow, we have to rely more and more on individual and company memberships.
Become a Friend of TEP!
TEP provides exactly what its name suggests: a partnership network and neutral forum which brings together all those who share a concern for the estuary and its environs. Whether living or working, planning and developing, researching or protecting the area, your contribution, knowledge and expertise is vital.
We offer several levels of Friend membership:

Your membership helps us to:
- ensure the continuation of a neutral network for anyone with an interest in the Thames Estuary
- maintain an up-to-date database of stakeholders in the estuary – from individuals to representatives from the public and commercial sectors. Contact us for the contacts you need!
- pay for the production of our informative, bi-annual Talk of the Thames magazine
- maintain the TEP website with current estuary news, upcoming events, jobs, and more
- fundraise for future projects that will allow us to engage further with the wider Thames community.
As a Friend of TEP you can:
- take part in forums and meetings on a variety of subjects hosted by us for your benefit. To date our Action Groups have been concerned with issues affecting Fisheries, River Access and Recreation, Education, Dredging, Biodiversity, Planning, Achaeology and Research.
- network with other stakeholders at the events TEP hosts
- enjoy concessionary rates at our popular Annual Forum, with presentations on topical issues and open opportunities to make your voice heard at Q&A sessions
- friends of TEP get priority consideration for display space (after event sponsors)
- come to our free summer social ‘Pimms on the Quad’ event
- advertise jobs on the TEP website for free
- advertise in Talk of the Thames at 50 per cent reduction on the advertising rates
