CHANGING TIMES - CHANGING TIDES

The election of a new Government in 2010 and current European and Government legislation, such as the Marine and Coastal Access Act and the Water Framework Directive will have an impact that concerns us all. At a local level several projects already in construction, or planned for the near future, will have a significant affect on the estuary. Key amongst these is the construction of the largest port in the UK to be built by DP World and the new Thames Tideway Tunnel. The growing scale of change, the impact of new technologies and the need to respond quickly to changing business environments have led many initiators of major UK projects to attend our Annual Forum and use this as the medium to inform stakeholders about development progress and adjustments in project planning.
