Pier1 - Estuary Biodiversity
Progress links between the GLA Area Rivers and Streams Habitat and Species Group and the TEP Biodiversity Action Group for the estuary area.
Submit funding bids for a project worker to facilitate this in 2012-2015.
Continue working with Natural England and EA biodiversity targets and maximise mutual benefits.
Produce a list of partner’s biodiversity projects which are designed to benefit the biodiversity of the estuary and use the TEP website to make it easily available to all.

Pier 2 - Estuary Planning
TEP will work with the EA, PLA and Local Authorities to be ready for their riverside planning and Marine Planning for the estuary.
TEP will continue working with Natural England, local Stakeholders and the EA on Marine Conservation Zone planning and consultation.

Pier 3 - Estuary Water Framework Directive
Implementation work is moving towards demonstration projects and TEP is ready to assist with Ravensbourne Catchments’ stakeholder engagement.

Pier 4 - Estuary Archaeology
This project is now in its third year. Foreshore findings and data have been useful to TEP partners and what happens to this data will be decided in 2011-12.
Education project information for teachers and families is being produced in 2011-12 and will be promoted by TEP though the Thames Learning Group. A Foreshore Forum hosted by Museum of London is planned for 17th and 18th September 2011.
Some of the historical tidal head data will inform current flood defence work.
Some of the foreshore data will be used to advise the Thames Tunnel construction work.

Pier 5 - Estuary Events
TEP attends events throughout the year, promoting Thames Estuary messages.
Come and find us at Leigh-on-Sea Fishing Festival in July or at Thames Festival in September.

Pier 6 - Estuary Education
Fundraising will continue in 2011-12 to fund staff support to facilitate the Thames Learning Group and provide Thames facts and awareness of practical employment and training schemes for educationalists to use them to educate local people of all ages about the river and its life.

Pier 7 - Estuary Dredging Liaison
TEP will circulate dredging applications and notices and run the Dredging Liaison Group meetings which support the Port of London Authority engagement with stakeholders.

|
Pier 8 - Estuary Fisheries
TEP will circulate fishing information and notices as required and run the Greater Thames Fisheries Group meetings which support the engagement with local fishermen and the discussion and awareness of other projects on the estuary.

|
|
Pier 9 - Thames Research
TEP will continue to work with UCL and the Environment Institute to develop research opportunities with partners.
TEP will be assisting the Westminster University WFD project where possible.

|
|
Pier 10 - Thames Water
TEP will continue to raise awareness of the Tideway Tunnel development and consultation and take part in the Tideway Tunnel Forum.
|
|
|
Pier 11 - Thames Freight
TEP will continue to provide a neutral chair role for this project to monitor the impact of restoring river transport through SSSI Holehaven Creek.
The project will take tested waste from sites such as Canary Wharf, the Thames Tideway Tunnel and Cross Rail by barge to reduce lorry movements.
